In the Trenches
Utility Construction

Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman installs and repairs an extensive range of utility systems for public and private clients that carry power, telecommunications, cable, drainage, sewage, water, steam and chilled water, natural gas, and many other materials. From open trenching to directional boring and microtunneling, all types of construction methods are used to efficiently build networks and structures for a complete job of conduits, junction chambers, manholes, and substations. The company investigates conditions and plans solutions before starting projects to minimize the exposure of the public and workers to safety issues and inconveniences, and to minimize time on-site. Services are also enhanced by in-house engineering support to quickly resolve complex or unexpected on-site issues and emergency situations. Although pipes and wires are located below road surfaces or out of view and go largely unnoticed, Blakeslee understands the critical importance of keeping these systems up and functioning properly.

“Simply put, Blakeslee Arpaia Chapman is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. I've been working with them since 1995, primarily on projects at Yale University. Their depth of experience and manpower is tremendous, and their responsive is very thorough and very fast, especially in emergencies.”
